Environmental Management is the process used by the University Health Network to minimize the effect of the Hospital's day-to-day activities on the outside environment; many of the side products of these activities can potentially harm both human and environmental health. Activities that fall under Environmental Management include waste disposal, hazardous waste and energy efficiency. Ensuring that proper procedures are followed and investigating ways to reduce our effect on the environment are two key parts of the Hospital's Environmental Management program.
